Trains often also have other features, such as dedicated family spaces – with seats that fold up to allow room for children to play – office spaces and bicycle spaces.
Pets can travel on TGV trains – small pets must be kept in a carrier, while larger dogs must be muzzled and on a lead, and will need a ticket for travel.
You can take your bicycle onboard too – TGV trains have special storage spaces available for around £10, or if you have a folding bike that fits in a bike bag, you can take it along free.
Food and drink
All TGV trains have a well-stocked buffet car, the Bar TGV, where you can take advantage of a wide selection of hot and cold drinks, alcoholic drinks, hot meals and snacks including salads, sandwiches and desserts. Healthy, convenient breakfasts are served on board on morning services. You can take your snack back to your seat, or take a seat at the bright, spacious bar area.
First Class and business travellers have the option of purchasing a cold meal served to their seat between Monday and Friday.
